2017 Camp Information and Registration Process

MIDDLESEX CAMP

2017 Season:  June 19th - July 28th.

Below please find the Registration links to each age group. Once registered you will receive an email that will link you to the Emergency Form, Sunscreen Permission form and a Medical form that must be filled out.  Medical forms must be submitted prior to the start of camp. NO child will be admitted to the camp without a current medical form. This is a health and safety issue for the well-being of your child and the other children in camp. We will not compromise the staff’s ability to deal with a medical emergency without proper records on each child.  There is absolutely no exception to this rule.

The camp size is limited and a lottery system may be used.

Middlesex Camp is divided into a Senior Camp and Junior / Pee-wee Camp.  Each group has its own tent on the field which serves as a home base during the day.  The camp features recreational activities including arts and crafts, science and nature, sports and other organized games, weekly theme-related activities, and special events.  Pee-Wee campers will have swim lessons. Junior campers will have swim, paddle and tennis lessons.  Senior Campers will have tennis lessons twice a week and paddle once a week and a free swim daily.  On rainy days, camp is held in the clubhouse.
The philosophy of the camp remains low key summer fun, giving the children a taste of the many different activities the club has to offer, but also a time to simply play and build friendships. Middlesex tennis and swim programs offer clinics for children of all ages and abilities. You may contact the professionals directly for further information.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

Pee-Wee Camp:  Camper must have completed a 3's program and be 4 years old by December 31st 2017 and entering either a 4’s or a pre-K program in September 2017.

Junior Camp: Camper must be entering Kindergarten and be 5 years old by September 1st or entering first grade as of September 2017.

Senior Camp: Camper must be entering 2nd through 5th grade as of September 2017.

CAMP SESSIONS

The camp runs for six consecutive weeks, from June 19th – July 28th. Registration is for week long sessions.  Each session is a five-day program, except for week 3 which is  a 4-day program due to July 4th. This week will be prorated.

DROP-IN POLICY

If there is availability, your child may drop in on any given day. No prior sign up is required but you have to be enrolled in camp for a minimum of one week.

If there is availability, you can have your child drop in for a day or two in any given week. The daily rate will be $50 a day and you will be billed by the club. To inquire about availability please email the Director the week before or day before at sarahnpns@gmail.com. You can also call or text the same morning at (203) 554-3225. PLEASE DO NOT STOP BY without asking first to make sure we have room. If you sign your child up for a week, but take a few days off, you cannot become a drop in. You will still be billed for the entire week.

HOURS:

Pee-Wee Camp: Daily 9:00 am- 12:00pm.  
                      Optional Pee Wee Campers - Extended Day, 12:00pm-1:00pm *Additional charge* $5 a day

Junior Camp: Daily 9:00am - 1:00pm

Senior Camp: Daily 9:00 am- 1:00pm

Allergy Information

This information is for children with life threatening allergies that require an epi-pen/Benadryl.

Please have your Doctor fill out the required Doctors prescriber form, sign and date and send in with your camp forms.

Plan to meet with the Camp Director and First Aid Director prior to your child starting camp to go over their management plan. We will meet the week before camp starts.

The epi-pen and Benadryl need to be their original boxes. Please check expiration dates. They will be placed in a manila envelope with your child’s photo and instructions of your child’s specific management plan. The envelope will be kept in the main office in a drawer with a large red cross on it. You may keep your child’s medication there throughout the summer.

We do not a have nurse on site but we have qualified staff who are CPR/First Aid trained and who are also trained in the application of the epi-pen and oral medications.

In the event your child has an allergic reaction your child will be cared for by the appropriate staff in the office until the emergency services arrive. We will also contact you immediately.

All snacks provided by camp and the lunches prepared by the snack bar for camp are all nut free. We require that any parent that sends in a packed lunch which contains peanut butter/nuts must label it. Those children will be seated away from any children with  serious allergies.


ONLINE CAMP REGISTRATION: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover are now offered. At the time of registration, a 50% deposit will be collected. The remaining balance will be charged against the same credit on June 1st. Note that American Express is accepted even though the logo does not appear. Cancellation fees will apply after June 1st.

Pee Wee campers: You can sign up for Pee Wee Campers - Extended Day when camp begins. Feel free to leave that blank in the online registration system.

Registration:
Camp registration ends June 1st.  Once your group is full you will be placed onto a waiting list. Please be respectful and only register for the weeks you really want. If your plans change please take your child off that week .

Once camp begins, we are happy to add additional weeks for your child throughout the summer. Please understand that camp enrollment fills up quickly. If you would like to sign your child up for a week that is filled, you will be put on a waiting list.
Any changes to a week you have registered for after June 1st will be subject to a fine of $50.
