STAFF BIOS

Sarah Grant Ludwig

This will be Sarah's 9th year as the Camp Director at MSX. Sarah is a certified Camp Director and really enjoys working with the children. During the school year Sarah works as a pre-school teacher, which she has done for the past 16 years, at Noroton Presbyterian Nursery School. Originally from Wales UK, Sarah has a degree in Early childhood Education. Sarah has worked for the special Olympics and has been been a mentor for younglives, where she mentored young girls and their children. She has lived in America for 27 years and recently became a US citizen. Sarah is CPR first aid trained.

 

Jessica DeMaio

Jessica is a class of 2012 graduate of Darien High School and just graduated from  the University of Connecticut. She will be a middle school teacher in Canton CT this fall. This will be her fifth year working at Middlesex Camp and she is very excited to work at MSX again. Ben Highton

Ben grew up in England and moved to Darien in 2005. Ben is a rising senior at connecticut college, where he loves to play soccer. Ben previously attended Darien High School, where he captained the varsity soccer team. Ben volunteers with the elderly doing yard work and helping in soup kitchens. Ben has served as a "Best Buddy" where he participated in fun activities with kids who have disabilities.This is Ben's fourth year as a counselor at MSX.  Ben babysits and is available this summer. Matt Martens

This will be Matt's second year at MSX and he is very excited. Matt graduated from Darien High School 2016 and will be a sophmore at Elon University in the fall. During high school he played ice hockey and tennis and enjoyed volunteering at 'Grasroots Tennis' in Norwalk. Matt was born in Amsterdam but was raised in Darien. Matt can babysit and can be eached on his cell: 203 940 1011.

 

Owen Evershed

Owen is graduating from Witlon High School this year and will be attending UNCW in the fall. He was the Wilton soccer captain and has served on numerous community service related activities , Topsoccer and Socks for Soldiers. This is Owen's first year and is excited to start at MSX and play with the children. He is available for babysitting after camp and evenings. Schyler Murray

This will be Schhyler's first year at MSX and she is exctied to start. She is a rising senior at Texas Christian University. Schyler loves being outdoors and active. She is available to babysit after camp and evenings and can be eached at 203 803 9907.

 

Sophia Guerrero

This will be Sophia's first year at MSX and is very excited. Sophia grew up in Darien but moved to North Carolina a few years ago. She will be a senior in high school in the fall. She is excited to be back in Darien for the summer. Sophia is available to babysit after camp and evenings and can be reached on her

Katy Read

Katy will be a senior next fall at Darien High School. This will be her first year at MSX and is so excited to spend the time with the children. She loves sports and being creative. Katy is available to babysit after camp and evenings and can be reache at 203 644 0847.

 

Jack Beatty

This is Jack's first year at MSX and is looking forward to start. Jack is graduatiing this year from Darien High School and will be heading to Franklin and Marshall college in Lancaster PA. in the Fall. Jack loves to fish, watch and play sports and being on or near the ocean. He is looking forward to an awesome summer as a camp counselor. Jake Bieler

This is Jake's first year at MSX. He is excited to help us out through the summer. Jake is graduating from Darien HIgh School this year and will be heading to West Point in the fall of 2018. He enjoys sports and recreational activities.
