Summer Camp Directors & Counselors

Camp Director

Sarah Grant Ludwig

This will be Sarah’s 17th year as  Camp Director at MSX. Sarah is a certified Camp Director and enjoys working with the children of all ages. During the school year Sarah works as a pre-school teacher at The Conservative Synagogue in Westport teaching 3/5 year olds. Sarah previously worked at Noroton Presbyterian Nursery School for 17 years. Originally from Wales UK, Sarah has a degree in Early Childhood Education. Sarah has lived in America for 32 years and is a US citizen. Sarah has worked for the Special Olympics and has been a mentor for young lives. Sarah is so excited to see old friends and make new ones at camp this year. Sarah is CPR first aid and epi pen trained.


Seniors

Dylan Evershed - This will be Dylan’s third year at MSX and he can't wait. He will be a sophomore in the fall at the University of Maryland. Dylan plays soccer and partakes in recreational leagues when he can.


Carolyn O'Halloran - Carolyn is excited to begin her first year at MSX. She grew up in Stamford and will be a Senior in the fall at Stamford High School. She enjoys playing field hockey and lacrosse. Carolyn enjoys babysitting and is available most days after camp. She can be reached on (203) 658-4913. 


Mia Evans - This will be Mia's first year at MSX. Mia grew up in Stamford and will be a Senior next year at Stamford High School. Mia is a competitive All-Star cheerleader, which she has done since she was 5 years old. Mia also coaches children in cheerleading. She is available for babysitting after camp most days and on Sundays. She can be reached on (203) 309-7920. 


Ronan Flynn - Ronan is excited to begin his first year at MSX. He grew up in Stamford, but moved to Ireland where he will be heading into his final year at St. Aidans Comprehensive School. He plays Gaelic Football and basketball. He enjoys walking, listening to music, and watching movies. Andrew Tabora - this will be Andrew's third year at MSX. He is excited to see the children. He just graduated from Norwalk High School and will be heading to Norwalk Community College in the fall to continue his education in Real Estate Law. Andrew enjoys playing soccer in his spare time. Andrew is available to babysit and can be reached on (475) 400-1125.

 Assistant Camp Director

Jessica DeMaio

This will be Jessica’s 11th year at Middlesex and her 6th year as Assistant Director. Originally from Darien, Jessica attended UConn and graduated with a master’s in Education in 2017. She currently resides in West Hartford and is a middle school social studies teacher at Canton Middle School in Canton, CT.  Jessica is looking forward to another fun-filled summer at camp!



Juniors

Drew Barco - This will be Drew's first year at MSX. He grew up in Westport and has just graduated from high school. He will attend UCLA in the fall and will continue his rowing career there. He enjoys playing basketball and reading in his spare time. Drew is available to babysit and can be reached on (203) 286-9300. 

Ella O'Halloran - This will be Ella's first year at MSX. She has lived in Stamford her whole life and will begin her Senior year in the Fall. She enjoys playing hockey and lacrosse. She will be a varsity captain for her school field hockey team in the fall. Ella babysits in her neighborhood and is available to babysit after camp most days. She can be reached on (203) 658-4975. 

Shauna McQuillan - Shauna is excited for her first year as a camp counselor at MSX. She grew up in Stamford and will be a Senior in the fall at Stamford High School. Shauna plays soccer and lacrosse and enjoys walking, biking and watching movies. She is available to babysit most afternoons and can be reached on (203) 979-5184. 

Jeremy Matamis - Jeremy is excited to begin his first year at MSX. He will be a Senior in the fall at Stamford High School. He plays lacrosse and football and enjoys watching sports. He is available to babysit and can be reached on (203) 461-4228. 

Assistant Camp Director

Sharon Warde

This will be Sharon's 2nd year as an assistant at MSX this year. Sharon grew up in London, UK and moved to America at 18 years old. Working as a publisher, then a nanny, Sharon met her husband and together they had 4 children. After substitute teaching at her daughters school, she began working full time at King Low Heywood School at their faculty daycare. For the last 10 years she has worked at the Methodist Family Preschool Center. Sharon is so excited to begin camp and welcome the children.


Pee Wees

Avery McGurren - as an MSX camp alum, Avery is excited to begin her second year as a counselor. She will be a Senior at Brien McMahon High School in the fall. She is an avid lacrosse and soccer player, but spends as much time as she can horseback riding and participates in shows. She is available to babysit and can be reached on (203) 918-4970. 

Resse Barrett - another MSX camp alum. Reese is excited to begin her first year as a counselor. She lives in Darien and will be heading into 10th grade at Darien High School in the fall. She enjoys participating in gymnastics and field hockey, as well as baking and cooking for her family.
